How to Enter

From Friday 21st November to Friday 28th November, our club will be alive with energy, excitement, and friendly competition as we host our annual David Lloyd Long Ashton Racquets Club Championships — a week-long celebration of all things tennis, squash, racquetball, and pickleball!

Whether you’re a seasoned player or still a novice, this is your chance to get involved, have fun, and be part of something special. The Championships are open to all ages and abilities, with categories for everyone.

The action builds all week towards our showpiece Finals Day on Saturday 29th November, when we’ll crown our champions and celebrate together with food, music, and plenty of club spirit. This year we’ve joined together with Jeffrey Ross Property to add prize money to the Open men’s and women’s tennis and squash singles events, so expect to see the very best players in the club on the Finals Day.

Having said that, this event is all about inclusivity, community, and connection. Whether you play, or come along to cheer from the side lines, we’d love to see everyone get involved. So dust off your racquet, bring your enthusiasm, and join us for a week of sport, smiles, and unforgettable moments.

ENTRY IS ON THE APP** The date of 10th November is THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRY!

The event itself will run the week of Monday 24th NOVEMBER to SATURDAY 29th NOVEMBER, although each event you enter may only be on one or two of these dates!

How to Enter:

• Open your DL App
• Go to ‘Book an Event – November’
• Click and enter the event you wish to play in (EVENT NAMES LISTED BELOW)
• You’ll need to pay for the event on the app there and then · For tennis & pickeball email: racquets.bristollongashton@davidlloyd.co.uk with your partner in doubles or the playing level for singles. · For squash & racketball (Squash 57), email: ianfudge@hotmail.co.uk

For your first entry you’ll receive our exclusive David Lloyd Club Championships shirt in racing green. A big thank you to Jeffrey Ross & The Property Outlet for helping us to make this happen.

Across our 4 racquet sports our event categories will appear on the app as:

Tennis:

• Mens / Ladies Singles
• Mens Doubles
• Mens Doubles Seniors
• Ladies Doubles
• Ladies Seniors Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Mixed Doubles Seniors

Entrants must be over the age of 14yrs and seniors over the age of 50 years (you and your partner must be turning 50 in that calendar year to be eligible for the over 50’s.)

Singles and doubles entries will be categorised into A/B/C events (roughly A=Advanced B=Intermediate / Improver C= Beginner / Fast Track

Tennis singles events are £10 per entry and £5 per player in doubles.

Squash:

• Mens Singles
• Ladies Singles

£5 per event. Enter via the App using event category: Annual Squash Championships

Format to be decided based on number of entries. Early round matches may need to played on Friday 28th November. Any queries contact Ian Fudge.

Racketball (Squash 57):

• Mens Singles
• Ladies Singles
• Mens Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Ladies Doubles

£5 per event. Enter via the App using event category: Squash 57 Event. Format to be decided based on number of entries. Early round matches may need to played on Friday 28th November. Contact Ian Fudge directly with the category(s) you wish enter & if you are entering doubles, your partner.

Pickleball Club Champs:

• Gentlemens Doubles
• Ladies Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Gentlemens Singles

Entry is £5/player in doubles and £10 for singles

Across all events we need to reserve the right to finalise the format depending on the number of entries.
