Brain Tumour Research Campaign

Susie King, one of our passionate tennis members here at Long Ashton was given a shock diagnosis of a brain tumour in the Summer of 2023. As she embarks on a year of chemotherapy treatment this year, she has pledged to (virtually) climb Everest! Her story is here:

Evening Information

TENNIS PRO AM:

We’d like to invite you to be involved in a ‘Pro Am’ event on Friday 21st August. The idea being that our club members will ‘blind bid’ to partner one of our Pro’s prior to the event. The proceeds go to a specialist deep brain tumour research program within the BTRC.

Play doubles with some of the finest players in the country!

You’ll be informed if you are the highest bidder upon receipt of your bid. If you are out bid, you will be notified to let you know. Bids close at midnight Monday 17th August.

PICKLEBALL SOCIAL:

Open gendered mixed partner rotation social matchplay with fun prizes.

Please email racquets.bristollongashton@davidlloyd.co.uk to register to play. Then click the link to Susie’s just giving page to donate and confirm your entry. Suggested donation £10

FILM NIGHT:

Watch the hilarious Ben Stiller ‘The Dink’. PG-13

Please note: We have limited spaces for the film as we have to show it in the adult lounge due to its age rating!

Feel free to come down for a drink and watch the tennis/pickleball and film. Donations taken on the night. Light refreshments provided throughout the evening.
